[when she was about to exit the house to play outside, Rin found a package on her doorstep, which usually means MORE CLOTHES! So, eagerly, she brings it inside. Oh, did it shake a little when she picked it up? No, her hands must have slipped. Geez, it's heavy though. Is this really more outfits?

She sets it down on the middle of the floor and untapes the lid. Out jumps this puppy, almost knocking her over.]

...Wah!?

[it takes a few minutes for her to register where she has seen this dog before...]

[Outside, early afternoon]
[It seems the puppy has taken this opportunity, before this new family buys a leash and stuff, TO ESCAPE! Rin is chasing the puppy around the house/down the street.]

Len-len! Get back here! Or sit! ♪

[he decides not to do either, because what is this place, there are things to sniff!!]

Damn it!! ♪


[Later, phone]
Hey, guess what... I got Len back~!  ♪

[There is a BARK BARK! into the receiver. Rin sounds sheepish.]

Ehe ... Just kidding. That's not really true. It's just a dog that once played the role of Len. He was a lot more behaved when he was Len though. Mph...

... Speaking of which, Miku-nee, did you get anything back from a song? Or maybe it's just because I thought I was Pu-Rin a few weeks ago.... ♪

[Well, at least the puppy has gotten itself tired out and she can just sit there petting it. It's kind of nice having a Len to hug, even if it's the wrong Len... she needed some cheering up anyway.]

Well, as long as you're sure this isn't actually your brother's past in dog form, I guess he can stay. Not that I'd kick him out if he was your brother's past in dog form.

[Yosuke's never had one either, but he's sold enough pet supplies to know what they'll need. He crouches down to give the puppy some love]

Well, he'll need food and water dishes, a collar and a leash, dog food, a tag with his name and our phone number on it, and some toys probably couldn't hurt.

[Yosuke gets puppy licks~.]

[Aww, who wouldn't smile at that?]

As for where he'll sleep... I don't really care. Hell, he can sleep on your bed if you want, it doesn't bother me.

[As he crouches there petting the pup, something occurs to Yosuke, who turns his attention fully to Rin]

[oh. Why are we talking about this? We're supposed to be talking about the puppy. Rin is taken off guard for a moment.]

Well, of course... I've never gone this long without him. ♪

[She tries pretty hard to be tough about this.]

[Why did he bring it up? He wanted to try and be comforting to her, but it's not like he has a clue what to say.

A friend of mine - she thought she was a horrible person for wishing her best friend were here to help her deal. But there's nothing wrong with wanting a little support.

[Tentatively, he puts a hand on her shoulder and gives it a squeeze]

[She kinda looks away sheepishly. Rin likes to give the appearance that she's pretty together, so having someone comfort her is a little embarrassing. It's nice, though, and well needed. So she smiles gently despite the lack of eye contact.]

Thanks, Yosuke. You're the first person to say something like that to me... most others I know seem to feel the opposite. Luka was droned, and Miku-nee said she's home, but... I think it would be better if all of us were together. I miss the other Vocaloids more than ever. ♪

[He sighs as he gives her shoulder another squeeze]

Yeah, well anyone who says they don't want their friends here is lying. Yeah, it sucks being stuck here, but it's not so bad when you're stuck with friends. And everyone wants that comfort.

If your brother ever shows up, he can totally live with us. Okay?

Yeah. And even if it had to be in Mayfield, Len wouldn't want me to be apart from him. It's one thing to be glad your friends aren't here because they are safer at home. But family isn't the same thing at all, right? With family, no one is home if the members are separate.
