[At least the telephone was technology that Hawkeye could understand. The fact that someone was talking about drones or being droned--she'd heard so much about it, but felt like she knew nothing.]

Well, it's still good to know there is a pattern. If I wake up on August first and there are a lot of people reacting similarly to how I did, then it will be safe to assume that they are new.

That's odd, but I suppose if they are just hollow dolls I wouldn't expect them to feel pain.

They can just shut off anything they want. The ones who control droning... they can make it so you can hear talking, but not music, if they want. I guess they just pick and choose what your brain can see. ♪
