roadroller[On a bright 4th of July morning, a young girl in a summer dress does her hair in the mirror. Upon looking at her reflection, she knows exactly who she is. Her name is Rin Hanamura, and she's a robot daughter from Mayfield. Although her body is somewhat different, her parents love her, and she gets into mischief with her two brothers, the elder Raivis and the younger ???. She considers herself to be a human. As the middle child, she's always striving to stand out, so she is a bit obsessed with being popular at school - these outfits in her closet must be here in an attempt to start some new trend. She is also interested in music, thanks to her daddy - he works at a record store, it's only natural!
At school, she has a rival called Ruri Pilgrim. They've always been rivals in singing, but now it seems they're about to be rivals for the cheer squad next semester. There are only so many spots, so she hopes with some summer practice, she'll get the spot and her rival will be out in the cold!
She also has a boyfriend named Souji Warren. Although they initially bantered and Rin pretended she didn't like him, eventually their mutual friend, Minato López-Fernándezes, convinced her to confess her feelings. Now they're dating, and she couldn't be happier.
Luka Megurine and Miku Hatsune? Who are they, even? She knows a Luka Sturmvorauses - obviously! She's the music teacher. But Miku... who knows. Maybe one of Minato's classmates or something?
That exposition out of the way, she's finally satisfied with her hair - nice and curly. She puts on her hairbow, but leaves the headphones in her room. Those gadgets will just make her look like a nerd - jeez, what was her daddy thinking, getting so many for her? He's a sweet guy, but sometimes he really overdoes things and it's sooooo embarrassing.]

[Rin skips down the stairs from her bedroom, finds Yosuke sitting somewhere, and comes over to give him a kiss on the cheek.]

Well, you know, if I visited all the barbecues going on, I might actually gain a pound. So today I just really want to eat an apple pie and sing lots of patriotic songs. Someone should do that with me this afternoon! I won't be available during the fireworks, hehehe. ♪

[Carrying the parasol over her shoulder, Rin hurries into the park and then stops to wait with a huge smile on her face. Ask her what the rush is?
