roadroller: (the hell is that)
[personal profile] roadroller

Rin was taken from her world in December of 2010, just after she'd received her Append (which was an all-around update on her system, but especially her voice, granting her the ability to sing in more styles.)

When she woke up in Mayfield, which humanized all nonhumans, for the first few hours she had attributed her new physical changes to being Append updates. Nevertheless, she soon found out about her humanity while she was pestering the other 'townsfolk' for answers - but more overwhelmingly, every person she met gave her grim warnings about Christmas in Mayfield. After that, a creepy version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" played on the radio (It skipped in the middle, so it sounded like it was saying "He knows HE KNOWS HE KNOWS") and everyone on Mayfield's phone system started freaking out. Although this allowed her to learn that Miku was in town, Rin thought the town was full of sissies and disregarded any notions that she should be afraid. Shockingly, this did not turn around to bite her, as she was apparently arriving too late for the corrupted 'Santa Claus' to receive her letter full of wishes to corrupt.

However, despite being unscathed by Mayfield's horrors, there were still rather disturbing things happening to others in her immediate vicinity. Rin's first Mayfield family had been droned within weeks of her arrival. She met them while Santa was tormenting them, partied with them a little over New Year, and then they were gone. She remembers their faces clearly however, because droning does not change physical appearance. She was alone in a house with a bunch of empty shells.

Therefore, without her robot body, her roadroller, and most notably, her twin, she at first decided to take a hands-off approach to Mayfield; she would do her duties as a Vocaloid, trying to raise the town's general low morale, while letting the ones who had been there longer take care of the dirty and dangerous work. Although she never admitted it, she was relying on the adults to bail her out, just as she might have with her older siblings. She did return to her robot body relatively quickly, but it didn't change her mind.

Furthermore, after two months, Rin was already becoming incredibly lonely without Len. There was an initial period of time when all she ever did was whine about her twin and listen to the phones for signs of his arrival. She even put up hand-drawn wanted signs! Although it was a little obnoxious, through it Rin met a few other "halved" twins who were in the same boat, and formed a solidarity with them. Mayfield had a few tricks up its sleeve as well - on Valentine's Day, she was afflicted with 'cooties' - basically puppy love towards anyone she made physical contact with - and this created more ties to others in the town.

In March, a highway opened, implied to lead to freedom from Mayfield. Officer Grady, the main antagonist at the time, struck a deal with a lot of dangerous people to keep them off the highway. Still without her roadroller, Rin took the car out, but was forced to turn back by Sollux with his psionic powers - thereby preventing her from any injury in that stage of the event, which had been his intent. Later, the Postman left his office wide open and she was able to reclaim her beloved vehicle as well as her append frame. However, there was later a raid on the dairy that Rin took place in - after a group of people unknown to Rin discovered the mysterious "soul vat" generators, the ground around the dairy caved in, and her roadroller was lost once more. She almost fell to her doom as well, but was rescued by Red and his Charizard. In the end, it was all revealed as an elaborate April Fool's prank, and her stolen regains were confiscated.

However, as a result of the prank, rumors were floating around that electricity in the town was powered on the souls of the droned, which made Rin fret about interfacing with the computer she'd regained legitimately. Ruri, one of the people she'd met in the 'cooties' event, insisted that she continued backing up her files, and offered to monitor the connections to ensure nothing would go wrong. This set her mind at ease about the incident, and Rin was able to go back to relatively-normal.

Not long after that, the Mayfield High School that Rin was attending was putting on a prom. Rin learned about the part where the students vote for King and Queen of the dance. Seeing this as the only opportunity in town to gauge her popularity against that of Miku's, Rin campaigned for the crown with gusto. She went around singing to others and showing them kindness, and managed to make enough friends in that short time to come in third. Considering Miku hadn't ranked at all, Rin was on top of the world for that night... Only for her mood to come crashing back down later, when she realized that Len and the others hadn't been there to see it.

Mayfield would soon prey on her loneliness. Toward the end of spring, the residents were subjected to 'spring cleaning', in which all were sent letters promising their greatest desire with only one condition: they had to kill a target, whose name was included in the letter. Also, if they failed, their greatest fear would be upon them, but Rin didn't quite care about that - it was there in black and white, that she could be together with Len. Her target, Sho Minamimoto, was someone Rin had briefly met - but even from minor exposure, she convinced herself that he was no good. She deemed that having Len was worth more than his existence, so she set out to kill Minamimoto by hitting him with a car. Despite the fact that everyone was stripped of all of their regains before the 'spring cleaning' began, Sho's reflexes were too quick. He shot out her tires, but that cost him the last of his bullets that were used to hunt his own targets, so she was able to escape - though not without a chase. Still determined to kill him, she went out the next day, only to be taken down by Shichika, the person who had her as a target. This was her first death in Mayfield.

On the Fourth of July, an event occurred where everyone was droned to varying degrees. Drone Rin went on a super embarrassing date with Drone Souji where he gave her an expensive bracelet. After they watched the fireworks together, the spell was broken. She left him and encountered Jane Smith, otherwise known as Samantha Achewood, a perma-drone with a rich history who had been temporarily freed from her droning and was acting insane. To try to calm her, Rin and Miku sang songs for Jane, but it only made her break into tears. The next day, Samantha was dead, killed by Grady at her own request. Rin was greatly shook by this, but Grady did not go unpunished - he, too, was killed. In order to distract everyone from rioting after Grady's death, another event happened soon after that forced everyone to be honest all the time, or in some cases, believe they were communists and confess that instead. Rin was one of the 'communists', which somehow also made her believe she was the Rin from the Putin-P series, so she ran around looking to assassinate Ronald MacDonald.

After that, there were openings for a job at the police station, which temporarily went to the crazy Milkman. He forced everyone to either drink his milk once a day (which was usually tainted with poison, razors, spiders, drugs, you name it) or else they would become 'killdrones', which is exactly what it sounds like. After a truly harrying encounter with a killdroned Yuki Nagato, Rin drank the milk for her family's sake and ended up with a ton of live spiders in her belly. After that, the other members of her family wouldn't let her continue, and took up drinking it instead. A week of the Milkman reign of terror passed before he was fired from the position and replaced by Jack Smith.

The town seemed to settle into a lull for a while after that, as Jack was nowhere near as malicious or proactive as Grady had been - the worst the town itself did was transport her into a locked bowling alley with a friend, and it was basically months of player plots. Deadpool accidentally caused a zombie apocalypse, but Rin was unphased by it, simply steamrollering all of the zombies as she was immune to their virus in her robot body. There was also an alien invasion, but Rin came out of that one rather unharmed as well.

One of the more traumatic events Rin had been through was caused by exposure to the psychic and hallucinogenic Tanetane Mushrooms, which attacked her every insecurity. Under their influence, she saw a specter of Len, who claimed they killed her family together because they were fakes and she didn't need them now that he was there. She 'received' a letter from MEIKO claiming that she and KAITO were much more successful and happier now that Rin and Miku were gone. She started hearing her voice as static, and met another version of Len; the iconic scientist from her song, KOKORO, who proceeded to dismiss her existence as a mere fabrication, and on top of that, all of her friends' as well, calling them programs. When she tried to argue, he said that he knew everything in her head because he was her other half and she trusted only him. It was basically true - he was only recanting her darkest suspicions. Eventually, she was driven so far into despair that she attempted suicide by walking off the highway. She was stopped by Red, only to be put out of her misery by Lil' Slugger with his bat. This was the first time she died as a robot, and probably the worst experience of her life. It would have been a lot worse if Lucas hadn't been there though. He gave her hope, as well as some amazing counter-drugs in the form of Mr. Saturn's Coffee once all the mushrooms were gotten rid of. Thanks to that, she was able to bounce back from it all relatively quickly.

A nuclear bomb was dropped on Mayfield for Thanksgiving, but Rin doesn't remember it at all because she died instantly and stayed dead for the entire fallout. After the town regenerated, she revived in time for her second Mayfield Christmas, wherein the town was suffering from "power outages" in the wake of the bomb. These power outages also caused regains to disappear, and so Rin was human again. But the bitter cold of a winter without heaters was nothing compared to what happened next: everyone in town was visited in their dreams by an angel, who took the form of someone close to them and asked them to sacrifice themselves to bring power to the town. Rin did not make this choice, but many of her friends did - except that they weren't really gone, except from her heart. Any of the 'sacrificed' were perceived as disgusting fakes, and eventually memories began to be lost. After meeting 'fakes' of her closest friends, Rin was extremely frustrated. It was unacceptable to her that people were sacrificing themselves and being 'replaced' - and the gloves came off, officially ending her hands-off approach from before. She set out a call to the town saying that she was going to launch an attack on dairy, where the soul-filled generator was rumored to lie, in order to find the truth of the power outages. She also dared any 'fakes' to come prove they were real by joining her. Although this was nothing but a rash decision and she didn't have a plan, she managed to amass quite an army regardless. Together they plotted a charge, and ... well, still utterly failed. Everyone was drone-sentenced to singing carols for 24 hours in the cold, the humanized Rin got a nasty flu, and the lesson was learned that you don't let pop stars be war generals.

Christmas passed, the power was returned, and she cried her eyes out when her birthday passed without Len. She celebrated New Year by throwing a concert with her friends. And after that? Len finally showed up. He was human like any other newcomer, so she turned in her robot frame to match him. She was extremely happy to see him, and thought her life would be back to normal with him there. However, it was hard for her to express to him what had happened over the past year, and she felt like she was keeping secrets from him. Their happiness didn't last long either - the Dairy was opened once again, and Rin dragged Len along with Yosuke and Minato to investigate. However, someone that Rin didn't know went in and destroyed the generator she'd had her eyes on in the Christmas event. It turned out not to be a power generator at all, but instead, it was the death-revival device. Old wounds began to open on people's bodies, and the town had to call in the mad surgeon, Mrs. Johnson. She kidnapped Len and cut off his tongue. Rin instantly blamed herself for wishing him there and bringing him along on investigations. His tongue was eventually restored, but after that, she deigned to lay low until Len had his robot body back.

She was unable to avoid the sillier Mayfield events though. In February, another Valentine's occurred where flower scents compelled people to make out and confess their feelings and so on. This event exacerbated a couple of her previous relationships into a full-on love triangle, although Rin was hesitant to do anything about it. In April, there was an unexplained body swap incident, and she ended up as a pony for a while. Then Prom was ahead once again, and she and Len campaigned for King and Queen and actually won the crowns this time - although Len had to dance-off against an inanimate carbon rod as a tiebreaker. These were easily her happiest days in Mayfield since Len was there with her, nothing too bad had happened for a while, and they had a taste of what it was like to be the most popular Vocaloids. Being Queen predictably went to her head and she went on a huge ego trip. She also took some steps in her romantic relationships, turning down Yuna's advances because Lucas was the one she liked.

However, it was all sort of thrown out of the loop for a while when the town altered everyone's memory, and she thought she was the Rin from The Cursed Glasses ~stray girl in her lenses~. No longer caring about popularity, this was a more vulgar Rin that walked around blindly while waving a huge gun. Thankfully it was fake and no one was hurt, so this was another fairly harmless event in the long run.

In June, a mysterious Carnival appeared in Mayfield, and anyone who went through the funhouse appeared in an 'alternate' Carnival, presumably an extra facet of the Mayfield simulator, where there was no food or water and the only other life was vicious, diseased rats. Thanks to being robots again, Rin and Len survived easily, and put their efforts toward exploring and helping others. Rin ran into Luke in one of the simulator's houses, and while she was helping him try to kill rats, they discovered an empty wall with a dead body in it. Their investigation was cut short when Luke touched the wall - a glitch in its structure caused his fingers to dissolve, and Rin was forced to retrieve help and ditch the corpse. On a later day, though, she teamed up with Lucas and together they found a strange newspaper article written by Richard Grey. The Carnival was glitching out of existence, but Lucas was able to get Rin safely to the exit. She suspected he died helping others do the same, but he didn't seem to realize so she tried not to think about it. Recalling that Grey had asked them to find Annie, the Librarian, the two tried to use the newspaper clipping to get information from her. It seemed to jog her memory, but perhaps not enough. That's when Grey himself stepped in, and created portals throughout the simulation to retrieve Annie's mementos. Rin, Yuna and Lucas went into a portal that lead to a blimp overlooking a city, and while someone else found the memento, they did get into a brawl with some creepy faceless drones.

When she came back, she found that Len and Yosuke had been droned, and long story short, this sent her into a bit of a nervous breakdown wherein she decided she wanted to forget everything that had ever happened in Mayfield. Issuing the command to do so sent her into a built-in 'maintenance mode' that shut off most of her functions while the system waited for the proper authorities to confirm her decision. Instead, she was hacked out of it, and found many friends worried and waiting for her. With their support, she strengthened her resolve and even confessed her feelings to Lucas.

And then, after mementos retrieved by the other townspeople were shown to Annie, she was fully awakened. Because he opened the portals, Mrs. Johnson was able to delete all traces of Grey from the system, making Zemekis furious. He brainwashed everyone for what was supposed to be the final time, suppressing their memories and replacing them with happy Mayfield ones. Anyone who resisted and spoke out against the reality he was trying to force was 'deleted', where they found themselves existing in some kind of weird void. However, Annie spoke to them in their minds, reminding them that the memories were fake and imploring them to speak to the Postman. A group of people then met with him, and he proceeded to let them into City Hall, where the Mayor was found dead. Further beneath City Hall were a bunch of featureless bodies, as well as all of the corpses of anyone who had ever died. After another battle with the Milkman, the people stuck in the void were restored, and the corpses were animated and set free to rampage throughout the town. Just after Rin had finally said a heartful goodbye to Len's drone, they swarmed her house, forcing her to escape in an old Mayfield family car.

She ended up at the church, where Minato had followed her. Together, they entered the building and found Zemekis there, defeated and glitching out of existence. Rin demanded to know where the real Len was, and Zemekis admitted that they were all data copies of their originals and that the only Len that now existed was the one outside of the simulation. He was then shot down by another Mayfielder - incidentally the same person that destroyed the death regenerator. Rin couldn't give a damn past that, so she and Minato went back to their homes.

Rin soon learned that while she was running from the zombies, Mrs. Johnson had manipulated her way to Zemekis's seat of power and deleted all of the drones' data, leaving the town empty. Johnson proceeded to control people's bodies like puppets to attack each other. Rin was too weak to fight anyone, but luckily she was one of the few people in town that had a computer. A message flashed on her screen asking for permission, which Rin agreed to, and then she was granted a sort of repulsion barrier by Yuki Nagato. This allowed her to keep potential attackers away from her - however, she didn't have to for very long. Annie somehow released Johnson's control and re-opened the highway, which was supposed to lead into another simulation that would endure, while Mayfield was destroyed. Johnson darkened the sky with smog and sent out the hazmats. Rin jumped into Lucas's weird floating head vehicle and they fled the town. Upon arrival to the new simulation, they found a boarded up building with a strange computer and a 'reset' button. Rin is arriving in Wonderful Worlds the second the button is pressed.

Cross-canon CR (In order of appearance!!)

Giriko (Soul Eater), Roshian (Afghanis-tan), Latvia (Hetalia) - Members of Rin's first Mayfield family who were all droned at once, so while she recognizes their faces she doesn't actually know them. Rin was never able to reconnect with them, although she tried to look after Latvia's drone after meeting Estonia.

Luke Triton (Professor Layton) - The final member of Rin's first family, he eventually returned to Mayfield with no memories. Having gotten used to his face, she wanted to know the real him. They were sort of friends, and for a time she tried to make him into a new little brother figure for herself, but as he bonded with his new family they hung out less.

Quinn Hatch (OC) - A technopathic man who greeted Rin on her first day in Mayfield with fascination. He later became her favorite teacher at Mayfield High, especially since after school he liked to lend her his music equipment. When Rin wanted to put on a concert, Quinn was sure to be there, claiming it gave him purpose in the town. He also used his powers to hack her out of emergency mode when she freaked out and tried to reset her memories, and so he can be said to have rescued her. All in all, he was a supportive adult that Rin respected.

Lucas (Mother 3) - One of Rin's first friends in Mayfield. They became fast friends after learning about each other's twins, and eventually became awkward crushes when they were locked in a bowling alley together for a night and shared lots of secrets. After that, they tended to keep each other nearby whenever things ran afoul in Mayfield, and he always did a good job protecting her with his PSI. When it comes to the people Rin trusts and respects, Lucas ranked among the highest. She wasn't good at expressing her feelings toward him though, and could even become jealous. However she finally confessed in the final hour before the town could be destroyed, and they escaped Mayfield together.

Johan Liebert (Monster) - Another person that Rin bonded with over a missing twin, as she sang him a song that reminded him of his sister. They were mostly casual acquaintances, probably because of a generation gap and the fact that he's a sociopath, but she liked him and never suspected his true nature since he didn't ever try anything on her.

Minato Arisato (Persona 3) - Rin met him early on in her stay and considered him a friend, although they didn't really start hanging out until after she became closer with Souji and Yosuke and learned what a Persona was from them. Minato was often around her, whether it was for strategy meetings among Persona users at her house, or hanging out at social events. It's worth noting that Rin became totally immune to Minato's charms after he made a fool of himself hitting on her drunk at a pool party. However they became suddenly closer toward the end of Mayfield, when Rin buckled under the pain of losing her brothers and tried to delete her Mayfield memories. Minato came to try and stop her, and through that she came to trust him more. They looked out for eachother in the final hours of Mayfield.

Sealand (Hetalia) - Rin met him during the 'cooties' Valentines event, where she pushed him over in the sandbox, held his hand, and then made him a paper heart. Needless to say, their meeting made a lasting impression. However, although they spoke after that, they never spoke of it (due to mutual tsun and embarrassment, no doubt), so Rin had no idea about his continued crush on her. Their phone conversations forthwith mostly stayed on absurd subjects, such as "what if Sealand's prince could be a cyborg."

Ruri Hoshino (Martian Successor Nadesico) - Rin's first crush, true friend, and eventually older sister figure. They also met during 'cooties', but in this case Rin's feelings carried over for a while, and Ruri's technological proficiency drew them closer as she offered to check over her systems in case anything happened. She also let Rin use the Nadesico for holograms and other cool things to give her an advantage over Miku. This caused Rin to feel reliance on her. When she was aged up by a canon update and started dating Yosuke, Rin gave up on her crush and eventually started to consider her a sister. Ruri can do no wrong in her eyes.

L Lawliet (Death Note) - L replaced Giriko as Rin's 'father' somewhat before the highway in March appeared, introducing himself as "Hideki Ryuga". When she informed him of her hands-off approach to Mayfield, he scolded her a little. He also found Rin to be noisy, and in turn she thought he was a slob. He was droned before she could learn his identity. But with him around, she had an excuse to over-stock the house with sweets, so he wasn't too bad.

GLaDOS (Portal) - Rin's science teacher at the high school, GLaDOS was an AI who had been humanized like herself, so they had that in common. Rin decided she was pretty cool when she caught her singing alone in a classroom one day, although she never did learn the lyrics to "Still Alive." But hey, she was a fellow singing robot, even if she wasn't too public about it. Somehow, GLaDOS must have liked her as well, although she only really showed it when she was threatening to murder potential threats to Rin's wellbeing. Which was something she could get behind, honestly.

Sollux Captor (Homestuck) - Forced Rin to avoid injury during the exit event, and was droned shortly thereafter, so she never got the chance to pay him back. However, when he returned without memories, she was able to befriend him for a time. He told her a lot of blatant lies about his species, and she taught him some Japanese and made him wear a dress for Halloween. Because drones were picking on him for his "nerdy" clothes, she somehow became his fashion advisor. They were good times.

Red (Pokemon) - Saved Rin from falling to her doom with his Charizard. Later attempted to stop her from committing suicide when she was tripping on Tanetane Mushrooms. They don't really know each other well beyond that, but it's hard to forget someone who keeps randomly showing up to save your life.

Souji Seta (Persona 4) - Rin met him on his first day in Mayfield, and somehow they just clicked. He was her date for the first Mayfield prom, and ever since then, Mayfield decided they were actually "dating"; any time either of them got droned, it seemed that their drones were madly in love with each other. Despite that, Rin would vehemently deny that she was attracted to him, but instead suggest that he reminded her of KAITO a little. Before Souji was droned permanently, Rin had seen people come and go, but had convinced herself it could never happen to any of her friends. Losing him was hard to take.

Yuna Akashi (Negima!) - During the first prom campaign, Rin had sang a song for Yuna. Ever since then, the other girl continued to support Rin at her concerts, and was even called on stage by her once. She was also a good friend, comforting her when things went bad and caring for her when she was sick as a human. Rin never thought of her as more than friends, until the flowers on her second Valentines compelled them to make out with each other. It was apparently the first romantic encounter Yuna had ever had, and it was hard to shake. Yuna pursued Rin's affections, and Rin thought about reciprocating them because of what a good friend she had been and honestly, how good their kiss had been left a lingering sexual attraction. But by the time the next prom rolled around, she was forced to choose between pursuing Lucas or Yuna. She picked Lucas, and for a time after that, there was a slightly awkward mood coloring their interactions. Nevertheless, they stayed as friends, and after Rin's emotional meltdown, Yuna was there for her and they were able to clear the air between them.

Guy of the Kutolah (Fire Emblem) - Rin met him while she was prom campaigning. She liked him well enough on his own, since he was interesting and gave her lots of praise. However, he later became more important to the Vocaloid because he was dating Miku.

Scott Pilgrim (Scott Pilgrim) - Another person that Rin kept an eye on because of other CR, Scott was Ruri's not!dad at first, and he was also the leader of a rock band that had Miku in it. Rin never thought that he was talented enough to work with Miku and often treated him condescendingly. Behind their backs, she also liked to talk shit about their band to sabotage her sister's popularity. However, if Miku was in real trouble, she sometimes turned to Scott for help. He wasn't that bad of a person, ultimately.

Rainbow Dash (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) - Rin befriended her in the day-to-day, pretty much based on the fact that she was the first pony Rin had met and she thought she was absolutely mega adorable. Animals are considered pets in Mayfield and were often chased out of buildings, so Rin fashioned her a very silly human disguise. Dash also helped her charge the dairy.

Sho Minamimoto (The World Ends With You) - Rin bumped into him a few times in the day-to-day, where he was basically a huge dick. He was her target in "spring cleaning" - fueled by her desire to meet Len again, she spent a week trying to murder him and failing miserably.

Shichika Yasuri (Katanagatari) - During 'spring cleaning', Rin was his target, and he had received a similar promise; if he killed, he would get to be with 'Togame', apparently someone who was very important to him. For this purpose, Shichika killed Rin by crashing her car and snapping her neck. But the strangest thing was that after that, he kept trying to make casual conversation with her, not seeming to understand why she was upset with him especially since they had been fighting for similar goals. She was definitely being a hypocrite, but this actually made her hate him more. It didn't help that not long after, Togame really did appear in Mayfield, so in her mind, he personally stole Len from her. When Togame was subsequently droned, she even went so far as to taunt him about it. Shichika was the one person in Mayfield that she truly despised. When he was droned, she moved on with her life.

Estonia (Hetalia) - Estonia was next-door neighbors with Rin. They got to know each other under the strange circumstance of Latvia being a drone in her house. Because of that, she told him he could visit whenever he wanted, although the notion she had that she 'stole' his brother sometimes made her feel guilt toward him. Still, he was a good neighbor besides that, and they often chatted over the fence, or corresponded during the zombie apocalypse, and things like that. One time when the other nations were trying to conquer Mayfield, Rin and Len claimed their street for "Kagamination", and their fake micronation became allies with Estonia instead of 'annexing' him.

Neku Sakuraba (The World Ends With You) - Rin met him on his first day in Mayfield and they became sort-of music friends and even commiserated over having to deal with Minamimoto. However, she has this weird habit of running into him whenever she's been mind-altered into a violent kook from her PVs. She met him during the truth serum event as Putin-P Rin, and he couldn't stop talking about himself while she tried to convert him to communism. Then later, she met him when she was Cursed Glasses Rin, and while under the same effects Neku thought he was a Reaper and that she and Len were partners. These two events have given her a vague picture of what the Reaper's Game from his canon is. (Since that's pretty cheap, in Wonderful Worlds I'm having her forget him at least for as long as she's a Player.)

Yosuke Hanamura (Persona 4) - Not long after L was droned, Yosuke had a birthday and was re-shuffled from his old house to take L's place as Rin's 'father.' However, they both agreed that it was too strange, and somehow they decided that he would be her 'big brother' instead. Rin went along with it as a joke, but he was far too kind to her; it reminded her of her real brothers. This scared her at first, because she didn't want to replace KAITO and Len. Yosuke was always reassuring her that Len would be welcome in their house, so soon enough she warmed up to the idea that he could be her brother without replacing anyone. And he was definitely a good brother. It seemed that Yosuke was there to back Rin up every step of the way, whether it was helping her put on concerts, listening to her troubles, even drinking milk full of razorblades to protect her and Teddie. When Souji was droned, they needed each other for support. When Yosuke was droned alongside Len, she was devastated.

Teddie (Persona 4) - Teddie replaced Luke's drone as Rin's brother, the town considering them to be twins because they were the same age. That was annoying, but Rin couldn't help but like Teddie anyway. He was friendly, cute, and he let Rin put him in a dress whenever she wanted to. What more could she ask for?

Yuki Nagato (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) - Rin is scared to death of Yuki, because she ran into her while she was killdroned - at that time, Yuki terrorized her with realitybending, and she never really thought to apologize afterwards. However, that's only from looking at Yuki. Rin didn't know the name of the person who melted her dog, but had since had conversations with a "Yuki Nagato" when she hacked into all of the computers to offer protection. Protection that Rin eventually took advantage of during the final stretch. She would be very confused if she ever connected the name to the face.

Equius Zahhak (Homestuck) - Rin met him when he arrived and was complaining about his troll body being gone. Rin being a proud nonhuman herself, she often took it upon herself to reassure people that they wouldn't be stuck human forever. She sometimes exchanged information with him after that, but most notably was the time when she was full of spiders and he offered to take them out of her with his skill in robotics.

Dakki Sigal (Phantasy Star OC) - Rin met her in her daily life when she was practicing her guitar. Dakki was hugely impressed by her singing, or perhaps more accurately, by the fact that she existed to sing. Since then, Dakki was Rin's biggest fan and always attended her concerts. Rin was always happy to see her from her spot on the stage.

Lil' Slugger (Paranoia Agent) - This monster kid was someone Rin had met on weird terms - she once carelessly roadrolled him, and after that he appeared to take a casual interest in annoying her. However, he will be forever remembered for that one time when he killed her with his bat.

Applejack (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) - Rin doesn't know her very well, but she ended up in her body for a while, so it's hard to forget the face after seeing it as her own reflection.

Rarity (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) - A fashionable pony, she was bodyswapped with Len while Rin was in Applejack's. Although it was an extremely weird way to meet someone, Rarity complimented her fashion sense (after borrowing her clothes in Len's body) and Rin became one of her patrons. When she and Len won Prom Queen and King, they were wearing Rarity designs.

Naoto Shirogane (Persona 4) - Another member of Rin's fake family along with Yosuke and Teddie. They didn't have a lot in common or interact much, but Applejack!Rin was caught in the middle of Yosuke and Naoto's bodyswitch and long story short, she came out of it mildly boob-flashed.
